Beep-Beep, Beep-Beep! Phil slammed her hand on the irritating alarm and then collapsed back down on the bed. *Oh, how I hate morning.* Then she remembered last night and sat up suddenly looked on the other side of the bed. On the pillow lay her snoring cat Bino. I couldnt have dreamed that! It was too real! She looked at the clock. 7:00 a.m. and she had to leave for work by 7:30 a.m. *I must be losing my mind! No, my body told me otherwise. Where did she go?* Phil got up and headed for the shower and relived the night before. *I bet she got scared away. But, she seemed just as effected by our chemistry as I was.* She hurried out of the shower, put some gel in her hair, combed it and rushed to put on her work clothes. "Today I am wearing pants." She put on trousers and an antique blue blouse. Noticing the color she smiled. "It looks just like her eyes." Phil went to the kitchen and found a note from Ellie.

"Yessss!" Phil exclaimed while Cherubino and The Countess reminded her it was breakfast time and she was late! "Sorry babies, how about salmon?"
She fed her kitties, grabbed a scone and headed for work. *I will have to settle for tea this morning, no time for Starbucks.* She grinned "Starbucks you are the best!"
She grabbed her keys and headed for work.
Phil arrived at work with minutes to spare. She turned on her computer and immediately typed and sent an AOL Instant Message to her BEST friend Linda.
Pbeck1: Hey Linda! Have I got news for you!
Lchandler: What gives? Why didnt you meet Alise last night?
Pbeck1: What are you talking about? I met her and took her home. What do you mean Alise, I thought you said her name was Ellie.
Lchandler: Her nickname is Allie. Who did you take home last night?!
Pbeck1: Oh shit! I took home the love of my life and it wasnt the blind date?
Ramon Cabrón walked into the room "Phillipa, where do I go for my meeting this morning?"
Phil quickly clicked ALT TAB to remove the chat message from her screen and turned to her boss. "I put a copy of your schedule on your chair in your office."
She opened the door for her boss and went, once again, to his chair and handed him his schedule and meeting folder. "Here, Ramon. Do you need anything else?" Ramon smiled and said "Thanks, see you later."
Phil smiled back, while inside we she was freaking out. As soon as Ramon left the office, she dived at her computer screen. ALT TAB and the AOL Instant Messenger popped up.
Pbeck1: Please dont tell me I picked up a gorgeous stranger.
Lchandler: You picked her up?! I thought you were going to meet for coffee.
Pbeck1: Well, I couldnt help it. She took my breath away and my common sense turned off when my pheromones turned on. Honestly, I have never done anything like this before in my life!
Lchandler: She must have been something. What did she look like?
Pbeck1: Long, soft black hair, glowing blue eyes, 6 feet tall and she was wearing black leather pants and jacket and a white shirt.
Lchandler: Poor kid, you didnt have a chance! You always did have a weakness for leather. <BEG
Pbeck1: Quit laughing...I am freaking out here.
Lchandler: So what happened?
Pbeck1: The most mind blowing, multi-orgasmic sex of my life thats all!
Lchandler: Whew! So did she stay all night or leave?
Pbeck1: She stayed until early morning, but had to leave for work. She left me a note to call her. She said she was in marketing. What if she lied?
Lchandler: Well, she did leave a note thats a good sign. So! Are you going to call her?
Pbeck1: What can I say? She probably thinks Im this crazy, promiscuous opera singer, when in fact Im the biggest prude this side of the bible belt!
Lchandler: Why did you do it?
Pbeck1: I dont know, it was more than just a lust thing, although that was indescribably beautiful. I felt connected to her, like I had known her before and I dont mean like yesterday. It was like we were soulmates and have been waiting all our lives for each other. What if she doesnt feel the same way. What can I do?
Lchandler: You will have to talk with her. But for now, we both need to get back to work. Call me later, ok?
Pbeck1: Yes, youre right. Ciao for now.
Somehow, Phillie made it through the day. She had a voice lesson and rehearsal right after work, so didnt have time to call Ellie until 10:00 p.m. when she arrived at home. She could have called earlier, but she didn't know what to say. "Well, it's now or never." She dialed the number and waited.
'Hello, you have reached the voice mail of Eleanor Dimas. Please leave your name and number and time that you called and I will return your call as soon as possible. Thank you for calling.' Beeeeep.
"Uh, hello Ellie, it's Phillipa Beck. Sorry it took me so long to call you today. I will be up until 11:30 p.m., call me when you have a moment. My number is 222-473-5593. Have a good night."
While she waited for a call back, she went to her trusty computer and got on-line to check her e-mail and get her nightly updates. She needed something to distract her. Missy didnt update yesterday and so far not tonight. Well, "Hurricane Watch" is over. *Sigh*
Lets see if Paul Seely has updated his "Persistence of Memory", damn thats a great story! Nope. OK Llachlan, help me here, "Tender is the Night". Oo, that is so clever! Phil printed out the update. Just as she clicked print, the phone rang. She dived at the phone.
"Hello?" A low, sexy voice replied "Hey Phil, it's Ellie, how are you?"
"Hey Ellie, I'm a little tired. I had a voice lesson and rehearsal tonight and I am dragging. How are you?"
"The presentation when well. They were so pleased with my ideas, they asked me to stay and work on the project immediately. It's 10:30 p.m. and I've been here since 8:00 a.m. I didn't want the day to go by without calling you back."
Phil smiled. "Thanks for thinking of me. I just wanted you to know that I don't usually pick-up strangers at Starbucks. I was actually meeting a blind date there and I thought you were she. Her name was Allie and yours is Ellie. I guess, you could say there was a mix up."
Ellie chuckled. "Well, I don't care if there was. I am so glad I met you. Believe it or not, I don't usually pick-up beautiful blondes at Starbucks either. There's something about you that calls to me. I can't describe it."
Phil decided to get to the point. "I feel it too. So what do we do now? I want to see you again and I would like to get to know you better. I guess we are past the first date, huh?" Phil laughed nervously and blushed.
"Yes, I guess so. Can I see you tomorrow? How about a scone and a cafe latte at Starbucks?" Ellie asked with a smile.
"Yes. I know... Let's meet again for the first time! And start over. Can we?" Phil proposed.
Ellie laughed. "Yes, let's do it! Phil, you are a hopeless romantic and I love it!"
"I will see you then." Phil said with huge grin.
"What time?" Ellie asked.
"In the morning not too early. Surprise me."
"I'll be there. See you soon."
"Until then."
Phil hung up the phone with a sigh. "If this keeps up, my dreams will become a reality."
As if inspired, Phil picked up a piece of paper and started writing.
