For me love was life


The greatest power on earth


Until that terrible day


He was so cruelly taken from me


 


An unspeakable rage possessed my soul


My desire to spill her blood


Became life for me


 


I had the sword at her throat


A second was all I needed


To make her a hated memory


 


Then I saw the anguish in your eyes


As I heard you pleading to unknown gods


Pleading for me


 


Your plea knocked the sword from my hand


And drove the darkness from my heart


 


I have no words to thank you


For the priceless gift you gave me


I truly know what love is now


It is the greatest power of all
